Dr Strange’s hoodie has a meaning to his comic origins! Throughout the movie, Dr Strange can be seen wearing a Columbia University hoodie, which is where the Sorcerer Supreme got his medical degree in the comic books. Columbia University was also the stand in for the fictional Empire State University in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and as we know, Dr Strange was the only other Marvel superhero to exist in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man universe thanks to a reference made by Jonah Jameson about that name already being taken.
