In many ways, our parents shape who we turn out to be, which is why they’re sometimes heavily prominent in superhero origin stories, but when it comes to everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, we just accept that he’s raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. Sure, we know his parents passed away, but who were they and how did they perish?
Even the comics don’t give us a ton of information about Richard and Mary Parker, but we’ve come up with a theory that might explain their absence in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
