When it comes to gloomy comics, Spider-Man might be the last figure that comes to mind. Spidey, on the other hand, has shown himself to be a pretty dark character on occasion. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko of Marvel introduced the world to Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy #15, which was first published in 1962. Over the next three years, the pair would publish 38 editions of the Wall-escapades crawler’s before Ditko left. However, the roots of being the world’s most popular superhero had already been sowed, and under the watchful eye of Lee and co., Spider-Man quickly catapulted into the mainstream’s notice. Comic book enthusiasts, on the other hand, are well aware that their favorite storylines from these long-running character franchises have plenty of grim moments.
