The Australian Reptile Park has captured its largest funnel-web spider – with fangs capable of puncturing a fingernail.
Dubbed the ‘Megaspider’ – the park says it’s roughly twice the size of a typical funnel web spider.
It follows a surge in the number of creepy-crawlies thriving in wet and humid conditions across New South Wales.
Sky News Australia discussed the find with Head of Reptiles and Spiders at the Australian Reptile Park, Daniel Rumsey.
