The first look at Across the Spider-Verse’s Spider-Man villain arrives as The Spot takes the fight to the webslinger. The sequel to 2019’s Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will once again focus on Miles Morales as he is invited by Gwen Stacy to travel into the multiverse in an adventure to face off against The Spot. Miles and Gwen will turn to a team of new and familiar Spider-People in the hopes of saving the various realities from the powerful villain.
Shameik Moore returns to lead the cast of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as Miles, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis and Luna Laure Vélez as Rio Morales. The animated sequel will also mark the proper franchise debut of Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 following his post-credits arrival in the previous film, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman and Jason Schwartzmann as The Spot. Though there’s still a year remaining from its arrival, audiences are getting a new taste of what’s to come from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
