Spider-Man No Way Home: A Spider Will Die

So far the MCU’s Spider-Man films have been a little shy when it comes to personal tragedy. While we’ve seen Uncle Ben die multiple times throughout Spider-Man’s long rebooted life, he seems nowhere to be found in the MCU so far. This doesn’t mean that he won’t appear later on in the franchise since Aunt May, played by Marisa Tomei, is quite younger than the character usual is, and might just as well meet Ben soon enough. That being said, with all the Spideys slinging our way, there’s a lot of chance Peter learns the famous motto “with great power comes great responsibility” from an older Spider-Man like Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield coming from another dimension. And as all good Spider-Man stories start, there will be a tragedy in the family.

The last we’ve heard of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, actor JK Simmons returned from Sam Raimi’s Spider-verse as J. Jonah Jameson at the end of Far From Hometo out Peter Parker as the man behind the Spider-mask. Rumours about actors returning from both Raimi’s and Marc Webb’s Spider-verses have been pouring in nonstop in the last year. From Andrew Garfield to Tobey Maguire, passing by Jamie Foxx’ Electro, Emma Stone’s Gwen, and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Otto Octavius, the Spider-verse has never been this populated live-action wise. While there’s a lot to unpack here, let’s focus on the Spider-Men who will most probably make their ways through the multiverse opened by the Scarlet Witch at the end of WandaVision.

In today’s video I will explore the Spider-Verse, and explain how one of the spider will die in the upcoming film Spider-Man: No Way Home
