Tie-dye pattern : Spider-Man | EXP43

Puffy Lux

Today I will show you how to tie-dye a Spider-Man design on the outside of a spiraled t-shirt.This is spiral experiment #43 in an ongoing series of tie-dye t-shirt experiments to see what kinds of patterns we can create with making a specific design on the spiraled shirt. So for this shirt I’ll first demonstrate how to spiral and rubber band the t-shirt. Next I’ll draw on the Spider-Man design outline using a washable marker and a paint brush dipped in liquid procion dye. After that I move on to applying the rest of the liquid procion dyes to the front and back of the shirt. To finish up I let the shirt sit for 24 hours, give it a good rinse, and jump right into the reveal of our new tie-dye Spider-Man spiral t-shirt. Thanks for watching and as always…Happy Tie-Dyeing!

***Before working with procion dyes or any kind of fiber reactive dye please make sure to pay special attention to all labels including directions, warnings, and first aid instructions***. I highly recommend gloves, eye protection, and a respirator or dust mask per these instructions.
